Uganda Unveiled: Gorilla Trekking and Safari

We are thrilled to announce a small group guided travel opportunity for those interested in exploring the natural gem of Uganda, deservedly dubbed the Pearl of Africa. Located in the Great Lakes Region in central Africa, Uganda boasts an ecological diversity that rivals many larger countries. Here, Eastern Savannah meets West African jungle. Uganda really does offer visitors incredible diversity with its multitude of varying ecosystems. Bordered by the Rwenzori Mountains (often called the Mountains of the Moon, the 3rd highest in Africa), the Virunga Mountains, and Africa’s largest lake, Lake Victoria, it’s a beautiful country bursting with bird and wildlife.

In this six-night adventure, we’ll experience the once-in-a-lifetime encounters with gorillas, as well as safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park. We’ll have our own conservationist and professional wildlife photographer Rowan Poortier with us as well, bringing the huge benefit of capturing your experiences to share with family and friends back home.

We invite you to explore Uganda, a diverse landscape with abundant wildlife, plenty to discover, and unique experiences. You’ll struggle to find the words that do justice to when recounting your time in this jewel of a country.

This 7 day/6 night adventure will take you to the magical Queen Elizabeth National Park, as well as the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

In order to keep costs accessible, we are providing three and four star accommodations, but rest assured that they are all incredibly well-maintained, safe, and comfortable lodges with great food and drinks on offer.

This trip will be limited to six people.

Cost per person – two people sharing a room: $6,499 per person

Included in this itinerary:

  • All accommodations
  • All internal flights
  • All transfers, tours, meals and drinks as per itinerary
  • All safari activities as per the itinerary, including permits and park fees
  • Dedicated and knowledgeable guides throughout the trip

Excluded:

  • Your flights to/from Uganda (we can help you with booking these)
  • Visa and health requirements
  • Tips or gratuities and porterage (if needed) for trekking day
  • Travel insurance (again, we are happy to recommend and help you purchase this)
  • Any meals and drinks not included in the itinerary
  • All items of a personal nature not listed

Reserving Your Spot – FULL FOR 2025

A 30% deposit of $1,950 is required to reserve your spot on this trip. We will contact you to arrange payment for your deposit.

The remaining balance is due 70 days prior to departure. If you cancel less than 70 days prior to departure, you will be responsible for 100% of the cost of your trip. You can make the deposit below, at which point we will send you a confirmation email and booking form.
